Hi! I am Tania

I am a registered teacher with the Teaching Council of Ireland and hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Further Education by the National College of Ireland.

Originally from Mexico, I moved to Cork in 2013 with my family, after living and teaching languages in Canada and Turkey.

Though I initially worked in the tech industry here in Cork, my true passion has always been teaching and cultural education. In 2020, I co-founded the Cali Cultural Centre (CCC), a vibrant space dedicated to language, art, and Latin American culture—and we've been growing ever since.

I’m a Spanish teacher with over 10 years of experience, working with both young learners and adults. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and a Master’s degree in Linguistics Applied to Teaching Spanish as a Second Language. Spanish is my native language, and I am fluent in English and Turkish.

I'm also a qualified English teacher, certified with the CELTA (Cambridge Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from University College Cork.

In addition to teaching languages, I am a professional Mexican folk dancer with a lifelong dedication to dance. I began dancing at the age of four and have trained in various dance techniques over the years. However, my deepest love and passion lie in Latin Mexican folk dance—a rich cultural expression that I continue to study, perform, and share with others. I am also proud to be the co-founder of AMDIE, a cultural dance group based in Cork that promotes and celebrates Mexican heritage through traditional dance.
